Chemawa Indian School

The Chemawa Indian School library offers students a center for academic engagement, personal development and literary exploration. Our library is where students discover new stories about people and places. With an extensive book inventory and the latest digital technologies, students can enjoy the best literature, conduct thorough research and study peacefully.

Our library is a primary source for improving a student’s classroom performance, college readiness and global awareness. Students and parents/guardians are encouraged to visit Chemawa’s library to promote continued literacy development. Families should become familiar with the resources offered by the library for any study, research or information gathering.

Library Hours

Our library is open from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing students with time to use its resources throughout the school day.

Access and Passes

  • Entry requirement: Students need a pass to enter the library during school hours.
  • Reporting: Students must return to their classes before the end of the period.

Evening and Weekend Resources

Each dormitory is equipped with Chromebook labs and access to learning management systems during evenings and weekends to support continuous learning. This ensures students stay connected and continue their studies beyond regular school hours.

Explore and Enjoy

We encourage all students to make the most of our library — to complete assignments, conduct research, or relax with a good book.
